With Form 1 Certificate

We are pleased to inform you that Prefag has successfully passed an audit for the certification according to EASA Part 21 G. Please find attached a copy of the official certificate for your information.

This certification is the official prove that the quality systems established in our company are fully complying with international aviation regulations. Our customers can expect products which are made under these strict quality regulations.
As a special service Prefag can now offer to supply meter movements with a Form 1 certificate. This can drastically reduce traditional testing on the customer side as the product quality can be certified according to agreed specifications.
Based on a new opto-electronic test bench we can check the full range of parameters on meter movements like

-sensitivity,
-resistance,
-linearity,
-friction,
-sticking at the pointer stop,
-electrical isolation and damping

individually for each single meter movement. Relevant reports can be related to each movement by an individual marking.
Our new certification will definitely improve the quality of our product and thus improve the cooperation with our customers. We will be happy to discuss such a cooperation also with your company.

NEW PACKAGING
Packaging - Movements for Aircraft Applications

For many years PREFAG has been supplying movements for aircraft applications.
These are packed either in blue plastic halfshells and vacuum welded in bags, or in cans.

The tin boxes, however, do have an important disadvantage, i.e. they are very difficult to open
and thus there is a risk of damaging the movement when opening the can.

In order to solve this problem as well as to make it more easy to reclose the packaging boxes
we will - after having used up the tin cans we have on stock - change over to plastic boxes with a screw-on cap.
We trust that you approve of this improvement and this ease-ment in packaging.

We are glad that, with these plastic boxes with screw-on cap, we have found
a cost neutral way to further ease the handling of our products.
