In order to be able to economically perform on-production testing and operator self testing as well for the production processes and requirements to the finished parts which are growing more and more sophisticated, Prefag invested in a measuring system with digital image processing.
With this system the operators and on-production quality assurance personnel in our lathe shop can check almost every outer contour measures on previously programmed parts at first glance. A further advantage of this system is the documentation of the measuring results without any additional time consuming effort.
Our system is designed to measure parts that are only roughly centered in the measuring screen of the camera. This enables us to measure the samples according to the corresponding test specification much faster than before.
However, rationalization at Prefag is not only limited to the pure process itself, but is embedded in a comprehensive organization development system. In this system we do also continuously optimize our quality assurance and logistic processes. For Prefag this is the only possibility to compensate at least for the greatest part of the increasing costs e.g. in labour or energy sectors.
